MERZKY BEAT

Formed in 2022, Danton (bass/guitar) had been a longtime admirer of Ricky’s (synths/beats) previous band Reality Asylum with partner Lauren (vocals). Having actually wished he could provide bass for the, but Reality Asylum came to an end and Danton moved to LA. Fast forward and Danton had moved back and formed Fake Nudes with BxD co-founder Jasmine. Wanting to do more Danton reached out to Ricky. It was an obvious decision and immediately they clicked from their first practice. After a few sessions Lauren couldn’t help but over hear and decided she wanted in as well. Their sound is a merger of synths overdriven into guitar amps, krautrock bass with hints of goth influence and 80s/90s pop meets ferocious riot grrrl vocals. The band is currently in production on their first record.
